Provincial Medical Insurance Plans do not fully cover you when travelling out-of-province or out-of-country. If you get sick or injured outside of Canada, the government covers less than 10% of the total cost. Without protection, you could end up paying thousands of dollars in medical bills. Below is the coverage information, detailing what is and isn’t covered by Alberta.
Alberta
- For outpatient doctor visits, Alberta Health pays up to $50.
- For ER fees, Alberta Health pays $50.
- For inpatient admissions, Alberta Health pays $100 per day, all inclusive.
- No laboratory work or radiology expenses as of April 1, 2020.

SuperVisa allows holders to remain in Canada for up to 24 months at a time and allows multiple entries over a span of up to 10 years. This insurance will provide up to $100,000 coverage for applicants up to age 85
